Hopefully this page will give you a detailed insight of how to install the Matched.co.uk Widget I have built.

Download The Plugin

Go to the project page, and download the latest version. Just download the zip file, and unzip on your computer. Then you can upload the files using FTP to your webserver.

Make sure the folder goes into the [wordpress-install-directory]/wp-content/plugins/.

Activate the Plug-in

In your WordPress Plugins page, scroll down to the Inactive Plugin list (if you are using a recent version, this will be a seperate section at the bottom), and click the “Activate”button next to the plugin description.

Set up the Widget

In your WordPress admin, go to Settings > Matched.co.uk Ads. In another tab, go to your Matched.co.uk publisher page, and select “View Ad Code”. You must copy the text of the URL on the Matched.co.uk page (“Website Page”) into the “Page 1 URL”, in my example, this would be “http://www.asgrim.com/index.php”. You must then copy the entire ad source code from the Matched.co.uk page to the Page 1 Ad Content box.

Optionally, you may also include your Affiliate code in the “Matched Affilate Code” (I’m aware of the spelling error, I will fix that!) box. You can find this on your Matched.co.uk Affiliates page.

Repeat this procedure for each additional advert you want to display on your blog.

Display The Widget On Your Blog

In your WordPress admin, go to Design > Widgets. In the available Widgets list, click the “Add” button on the “Matched Ads” grey box. This will add a blue box with “Matched Ads” on your Current Widgets. You can re-arranged the Matched Ads widget just like any other widget.

Check It Works

It should work now!! Go to one of the pages that are supposed to have Matched.co.uk ads on, and check if you can see it (your theme may vary, but it should look a  little like this!):
