It’s been just 10 days since I last posted about the pregnancy, and we’re both already getting increasingly impatient I think. Every pained expression I see on Hannah’s face makes me think “is that a real contraction?” until she assures me it’s not. We’re still over 2 weeks before the estimated due date and we’re starting to get impatient!
Pregnancy would be so much easier if we knew exactly when baby was coming… we still wait!

Hi!
Rowan’s now just over 1, but we both remember the last few days quite well. Kat was really impatient and totally fed up with the whole ordeal. She was uncomfortable, had swollen feet and just wanted it all over with. She was tired from a lack of sleep, worried about whether it would all go well, and apprehensive about the pain of birth and suchlike.
He arrived dead on his due date! Thank god he wasn’t late!
Kat had plenty of Braxton Hick contraction things before the event – and we were always wondering how we’d know if they were real or not – but it was quite clear (to her at least) when they did become real. She was having a bath at the time, and had been eating loads of pineapple beforehand.
Anyway, soon you’ll go through one of the most emotional times in your life! Enjoy it! Life changes a lot.
(as a side note, Kat is now a breast feeding fanatic who sells baby slings; try having a look at http://www.babyslinghire.co.uk – she’s tested each sling out on Rowan, and sells as well as hires; if you do have any questions, please feel free to get in touch – or have a look at e.g. mumsnet)

Cheers for sharing your experience, I’ve subscribed to your blog – it reminds me a little of my own heh! I shall get Hannah to look at the slings, she’s normally the one who buys things like that!
