I started my new job today, was quite relaxed, did a bit of website making with their MVC to help me discover their system. Tomorrow I believe I’ll be starting on my first artifact, so we shall see how well I’m doing. Ace setup there, very powerful computers, SourceForge managed, and the best discovery I’ve made is NuSphere’s PhpED, a PHP editor for windows. It’s rather ace, and I’m considering buying my own copy when I can afford it. Had a nice pub lunch with the other developers also, so had a chance to chat outside the office. Also, it seems they’ve already organised a night out to celebrate (is that the right word?) me joining the company, we’ll be out in Gunwharf so at least it’s local to me and not in Fareham. Hannah is worried of course that I’ll be plastered and fall on the floor when I get home, but she needn’t worry because I’m doing a lot more positive things these days, like moderating my drinking better!
